Making a smaller version of the super cute Bow Tie Cloche; hope it will fit a 3 year old girl.
In last picture you can see this smaller cap pictured with an adult sized Bow Tie Cloche. In the yellow hat, I repeated the lace portion 4 times for a slouchier hat and I used size 4 needles for the yellow part of the hat. In the lavender hat, I repeated the lace portion 3 times for a snugger hat and I used size 3 needles for the lavender portion.
Cast on 112 for brim.
Accidentally knit 19 rounds in brim instead of 18.
Used varigated Fixation (white, pale pink, lavendar, and bright pink) and white cotton/acrylic blend yarn for the brim. Reminds me of ice cream such as raspberry cheesecake ice cream!
For body of hat, increased to only 144 stitches (instead of 156 as specified in the pattern) and am using lavendar yarn. Worried I will run out of lavendar yarn!
Eeek! Nearly ran out of lavendar yarn. Decided to make a crochet flower for this hat and so glad I did. The varigated Fixation made a very cool flower. The link for the flower pattern is HERE.
