Notes

Jennifer Weismann’s patterns are unsurpassed in their accuracy, presentation, size inclusiveness and ease of use. Her designs are spectacular. I’m such a huge fan! This beautiful pullover has a dropped shoulder and an option for long sleeves. Such pretty lace details! This is one of the most gorgeous necklines that I’ve ever seen in a sweater.

Armholes in the final pattern have been made larger. I have skinny arms, and advised that most women will prefer larger armholes. Other testers concurred and Jennifer has revised the final pattern to reflect our advice. So if the armholes look a bit small in my photos, please know that they will be larger in the pattern for purchase. Also, I have broad shoulders, so your sleeveless vest may have more shoulder drop than what you see in my photos.

What I did differently:

I eliminated the purl round at the bottom.

Needles Used:

Size 6 US - Body
Size 5 US - Picking up shoulder stitches + i-cord at back neck
Size 4 US - Lower ribbing
Size 2 US - JSSBindOff lower edge only

Weight of finished vest: 12.1 oz

Measurements after steam blocking:

Body circumference - 40”

Width across top from sleeve opening to sleeve opening - 19.5”

Armhole circumference - 12.5”

V-neck depth from center back (not i-cord) - 8.5”

Length from underarm - 16.5” (13.5 + 3” ribbing)

kimmyz's star rating
kimmyz's adjectives for this yarn
  1. Beautiful, sophisticated colors suitable for any sex
  2. Tweedy look, chain construction, great stitch definition
  3. Machine wash and dry. However, if throwing this into a warm dryer, expect the sweater to shrink 2 - 3 inches in length, but only 1 inch in width.
