I’ve fallen in love with the Red Heart “Boutique Treasures” yarn that Michael’s started carrying a few months ago. The colors are spectacular, it’s as soft as alpaca, and the price is affordable. I also love the fiber blend of 30% wool/70% acrylic. (Washing instructions: “Hand wash, Dry flat”) If it washes and wears well, I’ll make many more garments from this super soft yarn. It’s almost like roving, and works up very fast due to its bulky weight. I’ve now made hats in all available colorways for various relatives. This one in “Spectrum” colorway is for Denny’s niece, Mandy. She loves purples. My very basic hat pattern is available as my little gift to you.
