Notes

Irnina is an exceptionally talented designer with a flare for cables. I love her style. She’s a gorgeous model too. See for yourself.

This cute hat is a perfect fit. I used a heavier yarn than the pattern called for. Therefore, I had to use smaller needles and knit much tighter than I normally would. I absolutely love the color of this yarn, and since it’s a gift for my sister, it has to be machine washable.

The fake fur pom pom (polyester & acrylic/washable) was ordered from Deramores and distributed by Rico in Germany. The color is “Silver/Grey” and it’s a perfect accompaniment for this yarn color. It will be the icing on the cake. I hope to get pictures with the pom pom attached eventually. I’m modeling in the photos just in case Janny refuses to let me take her picture (which is quite often the case).

You could easily use this pattern to knit a hat for a child just by changing your needle size and/or using a sport or fingering weight yarn. Pattern contains both charted and written instructions. It’s extremely well written and easy to follow. I was surprised how quickly this project went.
