This is my second Bloomsbury Kids pullover for my 5-year-old grandniece, Sophia. Hope this will have a little growing room. There are 3 sisters, so I hope to make 3 of these eventually. I will be using the adult pattern for the eldest girl.

For the “Set-up Round” (page 2), I had to K2tog at the end.

The pattern doesn’t say how many stitches should be in front and back. I ended up with 118 stitches total for the body which is 2 more than indicated in the pattern for this size. (59 sts for front and back)

I increased 14 sts before starting the bottom ribbing. (this is an increase approximately every 8th stitch.) 118 + 14 = 132 sts total for ribbing. I do this because I don’t like the ribbing to pull in at the bottom.

Needles used:

Size 8 US - Ribbing at neck and bottom edge of body

Size 9 US - Body and sleeves

Size 3 US - Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off (bottom ribbing only)

Size 2 US - Sleeve cuff ribbing, including JSSBO

Measurements (before shrinking in a warm dryer):

Body circumference - 27”

Body and sleeve length from underarm to bottom edge - 11.5” (9.75” + 1.75” ribbing)

Garment length from top of neck ribbing to bottom edge - 17”

Sleeve circumference - 9”

Armhole depth - 5.25” (6” measured diagonally along raglan line)

Width of lace panel - 4”
