Notes

I’m combining two designs to knit this:

Little Hipster by Kate Gondwana (body part)

Gramps by Tin Can Knits (ribbed front bands/collar)

Needles:

7 US - Body and Sleeves
6 US - Lower Ribbing
3 US - Sleeve Ribbing
1 US - Ribbing Bind off (Jeny’s SSBO)
5.5 US (4mm Addi long cable) - Front band/Shawl collar

What I did differently:

I did not do the K2tog decreasing bind-off for the entire back neck area of the shawl collar. It was too tight. Instead I just did the K2tog decreasing BO on every other BO for the back neck area. That made the collar roll better without riding up.

Sleeves:

42 sts + 6 underarm = 48 sts total
Decrease 2 on next round = 46
Decrease every inch (6th rnd) until 36 sts
Knit 8 rounds straight
Change to size 3 US needle for ribbing
Cuff Ribbing = 12 rounds (1.5”)

Sleeve measurement from underarm to where ribbing starts = 6.5” (38 rnds) + 1.5” ribbing = 8” Total

Body:

Back neck to where lower ribbing starts = 11” + 1.5” ribbing = 12.5” Total

Completed Cardigan weighed 5.4 oz (153 grams) = 1.8 balls of this yarn
