Went down one needle size because I’m tiny and I don’t need a 100” wide, 2’ deep shawl.

Used provisional cast on, waste yarn method, so that I can unzip it and cast off, and have a very stretchy, attractive, matching hem along the entire length of the top when it’s all finished.

23-24 sts/inch before blocking.

27/9/13: Started / finished MC short row section 2, and I have the correct stitch count, WOOHOO!! Hoping to have this finished by next Friday. Onto the lace.

2/10/13: Reeaallly don’t like this lace edging, I think it’s a bit ugly and completely shapeless/patternless. I’ll only be knitting the chart twice, instead of three times. First repeat finished.

11/10/13: Bound off! I picked up and bound off a stretchy edge (jssbo) from the end of the lace cast on, up along the provisional, a all the way to the opposite side of the lace. Looks much, much nicer. Just needs blocking now.

24/10/13: Blocked. Final measurements 76” wide by 17” deep.
