18/9/14: I really love the fabric on the 8, but this piece is already 8” wide before blocking, jeez. Guess I’m just gonna have an enormous, snuggly scarf!

4/12/14: This scarf will be the death of me. Or rather, this cable pattern might be. Only 1/3 of the way through and already I’m so tired of it! Now I remember why I don’t knit scarves…

6/12/14: 11 repeats down, and it’s already 45” long. Per pattern, I have another 9 repeats if I want a 90” scarf after blocking. But if I do that, it’ll probably be 90” BEFORE blocking, and like a billion feet long afterwards. So I get to cheat and do fewer repeats for the same length of scarf. Hell yeah over-average row gauge!! I’m actually aiming for somewhere between 75” and 90”, so basically just…whenever I’m that sick of knitting it, lol. I’m doing about 3 repeats per day so it should be done this week.

11/12/14: 60” knit, maybe 4 more repeats to go! SO CLOSE, CAN’T WAIT.

20/12/14: Coming to the very last cable row of the scarf, I realize that I completely missed the first cable row of the pattern and now the scarf will be forever lopsided. NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But it’s bound off now and I’m just never going to look at the ends again.
