Finally stash busting one of the first yarns I ever bought. Its companion skein turned into a hat, which immediately became one of my favorites. The yarn is just so snuggly perfect and warm, and now that I finally developed a love of cowls, it just seems perfect to make a set. But I couldn’t bear to think of knitting that cable on another project, so I went with a similar but different cable. So they’ll coordinate in color and general shape, but not be matchy-matchy.

If I had looked ahead in the pattern (before knitting all the ribbing) and seen that it goes p3 k6, I would have established the ribbing as p3 k2 p2 k2. Only I never do that, so instead I’m changing the pattern to p2 k6, because it divides evenly into 144 anyway. I really hate when ribbing doesn’t line up with the pattern, so I’m definitely not knitting it how it’s written. :P

Cast on 4.5mm, 5 rnds ribbing 3.75, body 4mm.

28/1/15: I wish I would have taken out one or two repeats width wise and made it one or two taller. It really grew when I blocked it, and despite knitting pretty tightly, it still drapes like water. Oh well, it’s still pretty.
