Notes

The pattern photo made me fall in love with the idea of gray lace socks, and I’ve been stashing gray Plucky in preparation.

These were a quick knit on large needles. The lace pattern isn’t the easiest to memorize, but it’s not tricky either.

I’ve knit Plucky Feet at tighter gauge before, but I’m really happy with how it knit up on large needles. Maybe I should stop torturing myself with 0s.

I adjusted these for two-at-a-time on two circulars, and I changed up the toe a wee bit. Decrease on the foot needle down to the same number of stitches as the instep -- an odd number on each. Then on the first round of ribbing for the toe, you’ll have four total decreases. On each needle: k1, ssk, (p1, ktbl until 4 stitches left), p1, k2tog, k1. Basically, drop the final ktbl. This makes the ribbing symmetrical, and that made it easier to keep track of decreases.

I should have kept that center stitch on the instep a ktbl instead of just k. No idea why it changes in the pattern. Oh well.

(My skein was only 99.9 grams, not the 115 the Ravelry database said it should be. These socks took 63 grams, not sure what yardage that actually is.)
