Notes

12/20/12 I got several responses from knitters about their leftover yarn. Thanks to daffydil from PA for sending me 2 1/2 skeins I will be able to finish my sweater. Although the yarn was a darker greener color I am using it for the ribbing and the button band and collar. It allowed me to be able to make the long sleeves with my original yarn and finish it with the darker green. That’s what I get for not choosing yarn from my stash with the recommended yardage. But thanks to Ravelry and the wonderful knitters associated with it we can locate yarn we would never have otherwise been able to do.
I’ve completed 1 sleeve and the bottom ribbing. On the sleeve I picked up 10 stitches which made 66 then decreased to 3x every 8th row for 60 stitches I knitted on 60 stitches for 5 more cable patterns then decreased for the lower arm 3x every 8th row for a total of 54 stitches. then 7 stockinet rows and another decrease on the 8th row for a total of 52 stitches for the ribbing. I switched to size 5 needles and worked the ribbing in the round for 20 rows. Then bound off in pattern on the 21st row.
12/10/12 I’m waiting for some responses to my request for yarn. I’ve contacted several people on Ravelry that have made something with this color of yarn to see if they have any leftover that they might be able to send me.

I think this is an adorable sweater. I hope I can complete this and hope it fits. If not I’ll have to adjust sizing but it only came in size M.

10-4-12 I switched to a size 8 needle partway through the sleeve and body increases just want to make sure it fits me.

10-7-12 I’ve separated for the sleeves and am now working down the body. I tried it on once and it seems to be just the right size. I did not do the decreases in the body because it was just the right size.

10-11-12 I’ve started the cable on the front and back. Since I didn’t do the decreases I still have 158 stitches so my count for the cables are K10, Cable, K28, Cable, K26, Cable, K28, Cable, K10
I will be doing the increases at the bottom of the sweater.
I’ve found the perfect buttons. The pattern calls for 1,5 mm but I’m assuming they mean 15 mm. Mine are 20mm
10/16/12 I’m on the cables for the fronts and back. This is a very easy quick knit.
11/20/12 unfortunately I may not have enough yarn to finish this.

I love, love, love this pattern. The designer is tweaking the pattern as I knit. It is turning out adorable.

This designer has been great working with all my questions. She has responded very quickly and I have been able to continue even with all my questions. When she restarts the sale I think if you buy it you will be very happy with it.
