Notes

There are 3 skeins of this gorgeous undyed alpaca-wool blend left after Winter’s day vest in my stash, 50-gramms each, and I’m turning them into luxurious socks for myself. 70% alpaca yarn isn’t the most practical choice for socks, but it’s sooo soft and so superwarm…

SO-CALLED PATTERN
It’s just my notes, but I will be happy if you find it useful.

I knitted these as magic loop toe-ups two-at-at-time. CO 28 sts and increased up to 64 sts total for each sock.

Feet are knitted in stockinette, then the heel is worked as in Baudlair pattern, then 5 rows of st st, and 2 repeats of Lover’s Knot pattern (from Vogue Knitting Stitchionary Vol 5. It’s #139, on page 144).
After 2nd pattern repeat I knitted 7 rows of st st and did 2x2 rib for 12 rows, then sewn BO.
