I made this almost instant hat for DD2, who decided in the middle of the Winter to move from Sunny California to the frozen wilderness of New Jersey.
I used my favorite hat pattern - Beloved Hat, slightly changing numbers for super bulky yarn.
A note about the yarn.
I had a Lace weight skein of Mohair/Silk and a Lace weight skein of cashmere/baby yak, handpainted by a very dear friend.
I plied both yarns together, then plied them again and again. In the end I had a ball of 8 plies.
This made for bulky, fluffy, airy yarn that is super warm.
