Since it is a Summer project I chose lovely Bamboo / Wool blend yarn - Panda Wool, by Crystal Palace Yarns. It is actualy supposed to be sock yarn - I love making baby things from sock yarns because it usually means that they are washable and dryable and easy to care for. Well, I would not use this yarn for socks. It is too flexible and does not hold its shape and I also have a feeling that it will not stand up too well to abrasion. But for a flirty, drapy, summery skirt it is perfect!
I have now washed the skirt and I love how the yarn “came together”, it has also felted lightly. Another reason not to use it for socks, but the skirt looks wonderful!
