Maybe if I start the blanket in the first trimester, I’ll finish it before the kid leaves for college…

We had an ultrasound at 12 weeks. Brody pointed to the amber-toned image on the screen and yelled “GUMMI BEAR!” So I guess we’re having a gummi bear, and it needs a blankie.

3/10/11 update: on repeat #9 of 12 planned. Over 400sts per round. Came to the awful realization that I have to bind this puppy off eventually and that’s gonna SUCK! :P

3/27/11 update: stopped at 11 repeats and added 2” of seed stitch border. Left just enough to bind off… or not. 550 stitches out of 600 bound off and I ran out!! Awaiting a couple of yards from a Ravelry Angel so I can finish it off and block it!

3/31/11 update: DONE!! Just need to weave in ends and block. I love it!!

4/11/11: blocking on a screaming green towel under fluorescent light does nothing for the color! Dr, blankie, dry!! I want better pics in daylight!
