This pattern came from mistybliss’s “Cotton Seeds” pattern off of her blog, here. I’ve been enchanted by it since the first time I saw it and knew ages ago that this was the yarn I would use. I’m still in the throes of start-itis, so I figured I would add this to the pile. Eventually, the start-itis will go away, or I’ll knit my way through my whole darn stash, right?

The name is from a Tennessee Williams play. Back when I was still acting, I was in a bunch of his shows, but never this one…thank goodness because (as per usual for Mr. Williams), it all ends quite badly for the lady.

2/17/11 - Only 2 days to finish??? Amazing! I discovered that this was a fantastic project to take with me to the movies. I cast on the 15th and literally just did 2 rows to make sure it was going okay. On the 16th, I worked on it while going to see “Biutiful” with my dad. Last night, I took it with me to see “The Fighter” and finished it while I was watching “Blue Valentine” (yes, I did a double feature, I’m a little nuts around Oscar season), with probably just a yard or two left to spare. This pattern was amazingly easy and I really think the yarn that I paired with it was perfect. I just need to tuck in the ends today and block it. It looks like I finished a perfect spring scarf just in time for spring!
