Notes

This was my first ever EVER knitting project. I know, most people start off with a scarf or a washcloth but in the Thorpe family, that’s not how we do it. My sister taught me to knit and cast on and purl and fix mistakes. After 2 days of playing around with yarn, ripping out and starting all over to get the hang of it, I went to my first ever yarn shop. Iselin felt that this was the perfect project for a new knitter for a few reasons.
1) It’s just knitting round and round and round. This gave me lots of time to get used to important things like tension, how to hold my yarn, how to fix mistakes, etc. I didn’t have to worry about a right side and a wrong side, it was all the same.
2) It gets felted at the end. This means that any mistakes I made wouldn’t matter because once the bag felted, they would be pretty much invisible.
3) Bags are way cooler than scarves :o)

I knit this bag through hours of watching Sex & the City with Andrea. I knit it the first time I was drunk. I knit it while I was in love. I knit and knit and knit and when I had completely run out of yarn, I knew it was finished.
