2/2/09 - I cast on for the swatch tonight, but then I became distracted by “Heroes” and completely messed up the cables. And can’t count. And can’t read.

2/5/09 - Trying the swatch again, but it’s just pissing me off b/c the project is supposed to be done in the round and swatches are back and forth, so I’m having to rethink everything written in the chart and I’m still not sure what I’m doing is correct! I might just cast on for real and pray. How bad could it be?
Note - questions like that last one usually wind up being foreshadowment into horrible, horrible mistakes. And yes, I created the word foreshadowment.

3/28/09 - Done! I’m done! I actually would have been done with it over 2 weeks ago if I hadn’t had yarn issues. The second skein of Noro had some real issues - it would get so thin in some spots that I became concerned it would break. I kept knitting and, a few rows later, had it break on me, so I had to rip back and get rid of the spider-web thin strands that had worried me to start with. My mom says it looks great on me - I’d like it if my hair were a bit longer, I worry that it makes me look like I have a mushroom for a head. But I loved this pattern, it was incredibly simple!
