I changed the pattern a little - the bottom of it was supposed to be stockinette stitch in the round (so basically like garter stitch that’s flat), which made it a completely different texture from the rest of the scarf. I hated that look - it looked sloppy to me and a little bizarre. Plus, the ends were supposed to be left open, so it was basically two wide open circles that curled up. Ick. So I did the whole scarf in garter stitch in the round to make it nice and smooth, then I sewed the the ends shut. I love it and get compliments on it everywhere I go!
