I had the day off today - I adore that my new job actually gives me off national and bank holidays. I’d been meaning to make this hat from this yarn for some time - Rose sent me the pattern ages ago. I feel like I’ve hit my breaking point with all of my current projects. I really want more of them to be further along, to be able to finish them and wipe them off my plate permanently. But since I still have so much to go on all 4 of them at this moment in time, I just need a few projects that will be done fast. Thus, the baby shoes yesterday and the hat today. I think I might just keep going with this all week, see how much I can get accomplished that way. I’ve actually yanked out a couple of single skeins for just that purpose.

Oh, and if you ever get the chance to knit with this yarn - TAKE IT. It is AMAZING. Tomorrow, I’ll kick out the cowl as well, since I have some leftover yarn.

Thing that I loved the most about this pattern? Rose’s tip for how she likes to do the left and right cross-overs. I love it when pattern designers add in tips to make my life simpler, and this was definitely one of those times.
