This was my first ever lace project and while it was easy to follow the pattern, I made a lot of mistakes. I’m sure that there are errors all over, and there were several dropped stitches. I also tried to weave the loose ends in when I think that I should have tied them together - this yarn is VERY slippery and doesn’t hold together well. Then, when I finished it, I had to wait to be in a place where I could block it. It technically wasn’t blocked until May of 2006. Iselin explained to me that lace knitting looks like crap until it’s blocked and told me how to do it. I started to block it on my porch and as soon as I started pulling on it to stretch it out, one of the woven-in ends popped out and began to unravel the whole skirt. This happened in one other place. I had two shots of tequila - seriously - and then went and tried very hard to fix it. I succeeded in making it look similar to what it should have been, but I’m sure that if I were to search, I could find it in no time at all.
