I loved this pattern - such an easy, fun knit! If I hadn’t gotten sick yesterday, it would have been finished sooner I’m sure. I really really love the way the little hat turned out. I think that I’ll probably make a bunch more of these. I bought a lot of this yarn specifically for this purpose, since I know a LOT of people who are busy making bebehs. I think this first one will go in the package I’m planning for SuzyQ, just a little bonnet box.

I did make one change - instead of decreasing down to 1 stitch and pulling through, I pulled the yarn through when only 7 stitches remained. I tried it the first way and the hat was too pointy, so I ripped out and fixed it.

For the record, I also made the ties by just doing a crochet chain with and F/5 hook. I did try to do an i-cord, but MAN is that boring and tedious and time-consuming and slow. The only way I would do that would be if I was going to the movies for an extended period of time…
UPDATE - I broke down and did an i-cord. It looked so professional and perfect on the other Norwegian baby hats, and I really hated how stretchy the crochet chain was. Now it’s marvelous!
