2012 - Since I made this, the designer suddenly changed her free pattern to a pay pattern. I find that to be annoying to the extreme, so here’s a link to my best friend Sarah’s pattern that is even BETTER than this one!

Waaaaay back when I was making one of these for myself (Rock Star), Maria came to visit. When she saw all the sparkle and glitz, she immediately said, “Is that for me???” I, of course, said no since I was in love with the yarn and she had dressed her dog up in the last scarf that I gave her. But when I stopped to think about it, I began to reconsider - she loved the yarn and pattern so much, clearly this was something I could make for her that she would actually use. Since it’s just like the one that I made for myself, and I’m the Rock Star, I decided to name hers Backup Singer! I meant to make this as a Christmas gift for her (last year) but never cast on for it. Today, the mood just struck me. Let’s see if she actually wears this one…
