General remarks:
Didnt I just say that I had enough of garter stitch/short rows shawls? Yes, definetely when it comes to crescent shape shawls (fingering) with stripes.
This one is a lovely traditional shawl, inspired by Cranford and now the Outlander series.
Very nice with a business outfit. Hey - and I won the pattern for participating in Leventry KAL. :-)

Coordinates for pattern:
Identical gauge.
As recommended in pattern I went for a rather dense texture knowing that garter stitch opens up after washing.

Challenge: I would like to use up all the yarn, but cant get any additional in case I run out.
Unfortunately the pattern doesnt provide any percentages of yarn usages for the different sections.

According to one of the finished projects: should have 2/3 of yarn left after finishing neck increases and a couple of rows more to be on safe side. Not sure about that.

12 skeins á 50g/90m. My plan is to knit up 5 skeins before neck increases, use 2 skeins for the neck section, and 5 for the decrease section of the shawl.

2nd skein at 61 stitches.
3rd skein at 87 stitches.
4th skein at 107 stitches.

Did my maths: got 42 rows out of 3rd skein. Whole neck section has got a total of 122 rows. Mid of shawl is 61 rows each side. No way to use just 2 skeins for neck section. Looks more like 3.

So I will knit up 37.5% (225g, 4.5 skeins: 407 m) of my yarn for the increase section, than 25% (150g, 3 skeins: 271m) for the neck section, 37.5% (225g, 4.5 skeins: 407 m) for the decrease section.

I stopped the increase section at 140 stitches.
