This sweater is a mash-up of a few patterns for various elements (Phoenix sweater: short rows for the cap sleeves; I Heart Cardigans and Galloway Pullover for the shawl collar ideas). The number and spacing of my increases and decreases were simply based on my gauge and my body measurements.

The sweater has a seed stitch at the bottom and on the cuffs and a K2P2 rib shawl collar. The neckline was originally planned to be a placket with buttons and a crew neck, but in the end, I went with the shawl and I think it dresses up the sweater a bit.

The body is stockinette stitch knitted in the round.
