Notes

I knitted this sweet little sweater on a long flight from Vancouver to Paris. Sleeves were finished back home in Vancouver.

I started with Puerperium because I have knitted it before with this yarn. I modified it so the fronts are even and close in the front like a “normal” cardi (I love Puerperium as it is! Just not sure the mom of this baby would love it, so…)

After some hypothetical stripe knitting, I decided not to do the button band in solid CC. I will do CC stripes in garter (purl stripes) so they really pop. Depending on the order of colour changes, I may do a gold one at the bottom just before the bottom edge. I want to do the button band and top and bottom edges in a CC.

Although I previously knitted Puerperium with this yarn using 4.5 mm and quite liked the fabric, I would like this sweater to be a bit bigger so it might last this October baby through the winter, so I’m going with 5 mm. Previous gauge swatches tell me this will be 21 sts/4” instead of 21.5 sts with the 4.5.
