Many are concerned about the lack of sleeve shaping so I created a work around.

Instead of casting on ___ stitches for the entire sleeve, just do it incrementally. (see third picture)

When I got to the point when I wanted to start the sleeves, I cable casted on 16 stiches and will continue to add 10 stitches at the beginning and end of each row till I have sleeves at the length I like.

So I’d get all of these add 10 stitches rows on each side (anticipating seven of those). From then I’ll knit the cardigan for another 9in, which is how wide I want my sleeves and then start casting off by ten stitches each.
