Last minute idea, last minute fumbling, last minute swatching!

I had quite a few tribulations in selection the right yarn, the best color combo, the optimal texture and the best yarn combo for optimal stitch structure.

My first thought of using Cascade 220 Heathers with the Misti was finaly the best idea. But I flirted with the idea of using some Lamb’s Pride and some Ultra Alapaca.

14/01/10: One day and a half late in the race, because I’m still at swatching stage. Of course, since I’ve made a late entry in the event, I was not yet ready to cast-on during the ceremony. I’m happy though, because I will have the best color combo, the optimal yarn pairing to give structure to the project and I will have read through and tried out the technical aspects of the pattern.

28/02/10: Tried with all my might, but by the time I had gotten at ease with the pattern my schedule got the best of me. I was only able to knit the third of my project but I am thrilled with it at every row. I’m sure I will soon finish it and cherish it for a long time. Updated pic coming soon.
