Notes

I saw this pattern, done beautifully out of fingering weight yarn. No way. I’m a slow knitter, and I have a wonderful old machine AND I have a LOT of stash!

A match made in Heaven! This actually came out somewhere around the same measurements as the fingering one. I started with 15 stitches and increased to 100 (I have 110 needles on my machine without using the ribber). The yarn in here is anywhere from a heavy sport weight to worsted. Brown Sheep LP worsted, handspun, Interlacements Toasty Toes, Jo Sharp DK, and I could go on forever. I can actually name most of the yarns in here, and that’s scary. Some are well-aged. I made this last winter, and have gotten complements on it whenever I wear it, which is a lot.

I love the fact that it’s done completely in stockinette and does roll. That makes hiding the ends, and carrying yarn up the side extremely easy. I have plans to do more of these in different colorways. It’s an awesome pattern all the way around!
