25 Feb - hat is finished but the rim is very tight. Again! ( I never can make it with the first attempt! ) .
Now thinking about unraveling and knit it again, adding a sparkling Guttermann thread this time.
Also could not obtain the book’s gauge and ended up adding 20 extra stitches to the original number given in the instructions.

Unraveled and started again with a sparkly Gutterman thread. Because of the different amount of stitches I did not follow the book’s instructions for shaping the crown. I used the method suggested for the 1st raw of decreasing for all my right side raws till just 11 stitches left on the needle.

8 March - done. Made a back seam and washed. It took almost two days to dry. I have a mix feeling about it. Should start to wear it and I might fall in love with this hat too.

1 April
After wearing this hat few times I realised that the rim ( the first cast on raw ) is still too tight. Would use bigger number needles next time for casting. And less number for the body. Maybe will unravel and knit again. The rim hurts my ears.
