Notes

I can’t manage to get a good photo, but I do love this project! It bunches up a bit at the back neck because there’s no shaping at all, but that’s the price to pay for such a super simple design. It’s warm and flattering and I love it.

We’re doing a Tiny Owl Knits knit-along at Urban Yarns, and I think this project will be perfect in this yarn. Even if the yarn’s too lightweight. The pattern should be easy enough to adapt. We’ll see!

13 Jan 2012: Using the Tosh DK held double and 7mm needles, I knitted a two-cable swatch that’s ended up being exactly 4” wide after a good soak. My measurement from mid-tricep to mid-tricep is pretty much 21”, so I’ll cast on 90 stitches for 11 cables.

20 Feb 2012: Into the super-fast crochet! It’s ruffling, because I may have picked up too many stitches, but I have a hunch it’s going to all even out once I wash and block it. If not, at least it’s the super-fast crochet part I’ll have to redo.
