I don’t normally diverge from my fave mitten pattern but I was not dissapointed by the leap of faith… not only are these mittens very lovely, the cables are fairly simple and they fit so perfectly - like a very fitted feel to them instead of the usual empty space that a typical mitten may have. My hands are a little small so if you have larger hands (or even average hands), you might want to go up to size 8 needles or something. JMHO.

Once I finished these, I cast on a new pair - using the same size needles but with adjustments (including a thinner wool) to fit a child.
