Feb 8th - gauge swatch/test knit made

Since the blanket isn’t for a baby, I modified the pattern to be larger. I also added stripes (every 12 rows alternating the light & dark blues).

He wasn’t too impressed while I was making it, but once I had it all finished up (and washed - OMG so heavy!!), he really liked it. :)

I wanted to make sure my kids had a way to be close to me even as they charted their own course in their teen years & beyond. This blanket will be something my son can tote along to University without any embarassment. ;)
