Notes

I saw a sample of this sweater in the Jamieson & Smith shop when I was in Shetland this past September and couldn’t resist buying a kit to knit one up for my granddaughter.

I loved working with the 2 Ply Jumper Weight yarn from J&S. The pattern was, overall, well-written but there are two things to take note of.

The first is the amount of yarn it says you will need for the main colour. I knit the smallest size and it took three full balls to complete the sweater, not the two listed. If you are knitting a size larger than the 2 you will need to order 4 balls of the main colour, and even for the size 2 I would suggest getting 4 balls. I finished on nothing but fumes.

The second thing to note is when making the sleeves, after completing the pattern you need to go back to the beginning of the chart and do rows 1 - 6 again.
