Great pattern and great yarn! I have never knit with Excelana before, but I will be again. This yarn is soft and rugged at the same time.

I knit the four repeats of the pattern but the hat was too big so I ripped out one repeat. I think next time I would go down one needle size. So beware if you are a loose knitter like me! It would be worth your time to take it off the needles part way through to check the fit.
