Kate Davies came out with this pattern a couple of weeks after I got back from visiting Shetland. I am a tea lover, and having just been to the islands I couldn’t resist ordering the kit from Foula Wool. The yarn is lovely, the hat was quick and fun to knit, and I’m sure my cousin is going to love wearing it. I will be knitting one for myself in the near future!

I did make one change to the pattern. I didn’t want the hat to be slouchy, so took out the third row of teapots. I was very happy with the resulting fit.
