Fair Isle Hug-Me-Tight ( Vest) Based on WWII era fashion I have seen in books and films. My own design inspired by the 1940’s British wartime fashion.

I am very pleased with the way this turned out!

Yarn Sport weight - Odds and ends of vintage yarn I had in stash that worked together. The wine yarn used as the background color I got from unraveling, washing and reusing an old sweater.

This is great under a suit jacket to keep warm and is an adorable land girl fair isle look.

I am also trying to knit up the yarn I have in the spirit of the period that inspired this garment. The slogan being. “ Make do and Mend” and also knit and redo using yarn from old jumpers.
