Notes

The homespun is from a sheep named Velcero and his wool is spun around a fine cream silk ribbon that is 1/8 of an inch wide. Just gorgeous in person! And luxuriously soft.

The yarn was a gift to me.

I combined it with a lone ball of Trendsetter Dune in cream laced with gold threads.

It is hard to capture the nature of this fluffy hat in a photo.

In person it looks like something a mysterious Snow Queen would wear.

I had no idea what I was going to end up with! I just cast on 96 stitches on the larger needles and began knitting, improvising as I went along.

I am very pleased with the results - but I still plan to make a tassel of some sort to attach to the back.

And I have a bit of the precious yarn left over. Perhaps enough for a cuff on a pair of matching mittens…

Bows and vintage pins can be applied as trim if desired.
