2/3- Finished the body earlier today. The bottom picture is sans flash, but it shows the texture better than the second picture, where the color is more accurate. On to the sleeves tomorrow!
2/20- Almost done with the first sleeve.
3/27- Cast off the neck this afternoon. If I had it to do again, I would have cast on a few extra stitches at each side to make the armhole-steek-cutting and sewing-in-the-sleeves parts less scary. As it was, I decided to anchor the armhole seaming in the center of the twisted cable pattern next to it because, as written, it seemed flimsy and rather precarious for a garment that was going to be worn by a teenaged boy for (hopefully) several seasons. Otherwise I am very pleased with the outcome, and the knitting was great fun. Finn loves it, too, and is slightly put out that it’s currently way to warm to wear it.
