Nice and easy pattern.
My mods include making it bigger in both stockinette and lace part, and changing the central stitch to 2 in order to match 2st column in the lace portion.

To change the center rib:

  • knit 8 rows after casting on 3st, and pick up 6 sts along the edge for a total of 12 sts;
  • knit 2 sts instead of 1 for the center all the way;
  • close center yo in the stockinette for a more organic look, and open them in the lace portion.

To make it bigger:

  • knit the stockinette section until you have 26 pairs of increases, for a total of 168 sts;
  • start lace section with the Lace Section 1 as per pattern, only repeat the “shell’ pattern for a total of 10 times (instead of 7) on each side;
  • do as many lace section repeats as you wish, I did 11.

Check errata for the border. I also did one more repeat of rows 3-4 in the border as I wanted to utilize the yarn to the fullest.

Bind off used :
- p2, (return 2st from the right needle to the left and knit them together through the back loop, p1)

repeat between ()
