I made one of these for my niece before she was born last year, and it was such a nice easy knit. Now, a bigger one for her 1st birthday (or Christmas?) in a more neutral color and a washable yarn.

I plan to also sew her a peasant shirt in a red print, and make some red and white polka dot polymer clay buttons for the sweater. It’ll be adorable with jeans! (Can you tell I’ve never had a daughter to dress up? Putting together little outfits is such fun!)
