Everybody in the family has their own blanket except for Neil. I’m going to rectify that with this one.

He’s not a big fan of granny squares or bright colors, so I’m going with smaller solid-color squares in shades of brown and beige.

It may be ambitious to think I could finish this in time for Christmas (especially when I have to do most of it surreptitiously), but I can at least get far enough into it to give it to him partially complete.
