Notes

02/04/2023

The bamboo cotton yarn I bought was too thin, so with the Dreamy Blush I doubled it up by using both ends of the yarn. With the Chestnut Brown I will be using two skeins.

01/29/2023 - Update

So, halfway through the month I changed my mind. I made sure to crochet every square on time, however, because of the strength needed I noticed that my wrist was starting to hurt a lot. So, I changed my mind.

I have a stitch book and started looking through it and I tried to decide between doing a lacy stitch or just something entirely different. Well, I’m a huge fan of lace, so I found something I liked and decided that I was going to be making panels and then stitching them together to form a blanket.

I am not much of a planner, by it looks like it may end up as six panels, each composed of two months, with three rows covering one day. Lengthwise, I measured the panel to be approximately 13 inches, which means that by the end of the year, I will have a blanket that is at least between 76 and 80 inches wide.

Because I had to start over, I have only completed about 12 days and it looks to be a little over 15 inches long height wise. So, it looks like it will work out, however, I am already running out of yarn and as fate would have it one of the skeins that I need is out of stock. So, I emailed the manufacturer, and I’m really hoping they’ll restock soon.

This is my first temperature blanket. it’s based on the bias granny pattern but instead of doing granny squares, I’m doing a C2C based on the v stitch.
