In June, yarn fairy Sandi of MD sent me another box of yarn and included a little blanket (26” x 45”) crocheted of a RHSS variegated, ‘BonBon Print’.

I figured that adding a border of at least 5 inches would bring it up to the size of my usual charity ripples, about 35 x 54.

I worked on this one’s border very slowly, deciding colors and how many rounds or extra rows to add on the ends as I went along.

With the help of two partial skeins of RHSS ‘Shocking Pink’ from Lisa of TN and Sandi of MD, and every bit of the ‘BonBon Print’ that I had in my stash, it gradually grew from a cute, but plain, little baby blanket to what I think is a rather stunning kid-sized one.

Adding a border, even a simple one made of only dcs and chains can make such a difference!
