An easy pattern, I made the border wider and added the picot edge. I learned a new way to work over the strand of a carried color, which was clearly explained in the Leisure Arts booklet, Scrap Wraps.

I crocheted these a few years ago and hung on to them just because they were so different from all the ripples I make, I guess. Time for them to go to their new homes. One went to a silent auction where it raised $55 for a Haitian mission, not bad for a scrappy blanket! and the other went to a foster child.

Maybe it’s time for me to revisit this pattern. It would be a great way to use some of that mound of ecru yarn I was given!
