Notes

Why lap robes? When I spoke to someone at the nursing home where I volunteer about donating a few of my little afghans, she said lap robes and shawls are much more practical for wheelchair-bound residents. Good to know!

Used this first one to find out how far two skeins of J.C. Brett “Marble”, colorway MT30, will go… made it up to a 21” granny square, to which I added the Red Heart Designer Sport “Brick” that Sandi of MD sent in June.

To make such a wide solid-colored section a little more interesting, I did 3 rounds of granny clusters, then 1 round of single crochet.

My sincere thanks to yarn fairy X for giving me the chance to play with this beautiful gradient yarn!

Followed with brown border - one round of granny clusters and one round of plain double crochet.
