Notes

I was asked if I’d mind making a few baby blankets for a local charity… of course I don’t mind! This gives me a good reason to dig into the sport-weight charity stash that’s accumulated in our attic over the years.

My first used up fourteen ounces, a good start. :-)

I like how its ripples are nearly scalloped at the beginning, but slowly morph into bold zigzags as the blanket’s diameter grows!

My placement of increase rounds differed a little from the pattern because the two yarns I chose were quite different from each other, fluffy white Bernat Softee Baby and a much denser variegated one that’s wrapped with a shiny nylon thread. It worked out well with the help of some trial and error. You can read more about the process on my blog, alottastitches.
