Mocha Fingerless Mitts

Project info
me - what DH requested to wear in cool office
Knitting
my darling husband
to fit 8 3/4" diameter hands
Needles & yarn
US 5 - 3.75 mm
US 6 - 4.0 mm
US 7 - 4.5 mm
Notes

Made from yarn harvested from an Eddie Bauer wool/alpaca sweater I got at Sal’s for $2.00! A very soft, smooth feeling yarn. Lovely to knit!

I’d call it light worsted weight. It’s relaxed, not very crinkled from unraveling.

Cast on 40 sts with a #7 needle.

Joined in-the-round and knit 4 1/2” 2x2 rib with #5s dpns (actually 3 #5s and 1 #6 - I think the loveseat has eaten several of my dpns!)

Switched to knitting back-and-forth to make a thumb opening 2” tall. (still 2x2 rib)

Back to in-the-round for another 1 3/4”.

Total length 8 1/4”.

See more photos here - It seems DH likes them - alot!! lol.
