2013 #26 - Firecrackers

Project info
Ripple Mania Eyelet Ripple by Marie Segares
Crochet
Neck / TorsoCowl
charity
36" square
Hooks & yarn
4.0 mm (G)
Notes

Yarns Used:
1) Herrschners Afghan Acrylic in ‘Skipper’ (navy),
2) Neveda Newo-Lon Sport, which happens to be from Holland! (royal blue),
3) an unknown red and
4) two whites, one fuzzy and one with a shiny wrap.

The only problem with the lovely Eyelet Ripple pattern is that it’s so ‘lacy’ I must weave in my yarn ends - so many ends! - instead of just working over them. This is time-consuming, although not so time-consuming that it kept me from designing a baby blanket with narrow stripes, lol, – narrow stripes = more ends.

Worth every minute, cuz it’s a Great Looking little blanket!

Seventy-four rows for 36″ in length. ‘Firecrackers’ only weighs ten ounces, so definitely a summer blanket, ready to give comfort to a new summer baby.
