Notes

Second ripple made with the PEACH yarn I unraveled from a $1.50 thrift store afghan that I named “Just Peachy!”.

Tried what I call a rolling stripe sequence on this one.

Instead of a simple repeat of let’s say rust, brown, peach - rust, brown, peach, etc, I went rust, brown, peach, then brown, peach, rust, followed by peach, rust, brown. Repeat.

Ahem. This would probably have worked better with lots of different colors of yarn, not just three, and without the inclusion of such a strong variegated yarn.

I have some of the unlabeled variegated left. Maybe I’ll like its next ripple better.

Thankfully, just because I’m not crazy for it doesn’t mean a foster child won’t pick this very ripple as their “special” blankie. :-)

As usual I modified the Rustic Ripple pattern - used an H hook with only one strand of yarn and increased each run of stitches to ten.
